Just As I Am Blog Tour—Excerpt + Giveaway!

Faith Blum's newest novella is available! This one is double trouble! Not only is it about twins, but these twins have reckless and adventurous spirits. When they go against their family, they run into more trouble than they bargained for.

About the Book

Just as I am, without one plea
But that Thy blood was shed for me
And that Thou bidst me come to Thee
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Eve and Evangeline Collins are adventurous twins who decide to take a risk and head west as mail order brides. Their parents are less than pleased, but do nothing to stop them. Eve and Eva don’t realize their danger until they stop just outside Cheyenne. Will they ever see their family again?

About the Author

Faith Blum started writing at an early age. She started even before she could read! She even thought she could write better than Dr. Seuss. Now that she has grown up a little more, she knows she will probably never reach the success of Dr. Seuss, but that doesn’t stop her from trying.

When she isn’t writing, Faith enjoys doing many right-brained activities such as reading, crafting, playing piano, and playing games with her family. One of her dreams is to visit Castle City, Montana, to see the ghost town she chose for her characters to live in. She currently lives on a hobby farm with her family in Wisconsin.

Excerpt

The next morning after church, Eve and Evangeline rushed outside to talk to other people. They had just gotten outside when two young men approached them.

“Are you two of the girls who came as mail order brides?” one of them asked.

“And then were rescued from being kidnapped?” the other one finished.

Eve and Evangeline nodded.

The two young men bowed. “Frederick…”

“…and Franz Lichtenstein at your service.”

Eve giggled. “Please tell me you aren’t twins.”

Franz raised his eyebrows. “What is wrong with being twins?”

“We’re twins, too,” Evangeline replied. “What are the odds that some of the first people in town we would meet would be twins?”

Frederick stroked his chin. “Since we’re the only twins I know of in Cheyenne, quite slim.”

“How can you be twins?” Franz asked. “You don’t look like each other and your hair color is very different.”

Evangeline smiled. “Not all twins are identical. You two aren’t identical either. Franz is taller than Frederick, but Frederick has wider shoulders.”

Franz grunted. “Will you two be returning home since you don’t have grooms?”

Eve fluttered her eyelashes. “We hadn’t planned on it. Did you want us to?”

Franz shook his head and quickly responded, “No, not at all. I was just curious.”

Eve gasped. “Oh! I just realized we haven’t introduced ourselves. How rude of us. I’m Eve Collins.”

“And I’m Evangeline Collins.”

The young men nodded. “A pleasure to meet you, Miss…” Franz paused. “Um, who do I call what? I can’t call both of you Miss Collins, but I also don’t know who’s older.”

Eve hid a smile behind her hand. “We could say the same about you. The proper thing would be to call the oldest Mr. Lichtenstein. But who’s older?”

Frederick scratched his head. “Older or wiser?”
